BOTOX® Cosmetic Injections
BOTOX® Cosmetic injections can reduce the signs of aging by reducing the muscle activity and wrinkles of the eyebrows and forehead. It is the only approved treatment that will temporarily enhance your appearance by reducing both moderate to severe lines between the brows and crow’s feet lines.
How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work?
Over time we develop frown line and crow’s feet as a result of repeated muscle contractions from frowning and squinting. Your surgeon will inject these muscles with Botox® which temporarily reduces muscle activity.
Will others be able to tell I’ve had Botox®?
Botox® injections is technique-sensitive treatment. Our surgeons are licensed, trained, and medical experts in facial anatomy. Please discuss the results you want from your treatment and our surgeon will explain the intended outcome.
Do Botox® injections hurt?
Each patient will experience a different feeling during the injection process, most reporting that it feels like a pinch. If you are concerned about feeling any discomfort, ask your surgeon about your options.
Are there any side effects to Botox®?
While side effects are uncommon and not permanent, 3% of patients experienced eyelid drooping and 1% of patients experienced eyelid swelling. Other possible side effects include: discomfort or pain at the injection site; tiredness; headache; neck pain; dry mouth; eye problems: double vision, blurred vision, decreased eyesight and dry eyes; and allergic reactions. Ask you surgeon to explain the list of side effects.
How long is the injection process?
Your surgeon will discuss your treatment goals and perform a facial analysis. Based on your goals, the actual injection process will vary but typically takes about 10 minutes.
When will I see results?
The time to see results will vary by person but typically you will notice results within 24 to 48 hours for moderate to severe frown lines.
How long does the treatment last?
Results vary based on individual situations with results lasting up to 4 months.
How long is the recovery period after treatment?
Your surgeon will provide you with specific aftercare instructions and you can resume your day immediately after treatment.
Can men receive Botox® treatment?
Yes. Botox® has been clinically evaluated in male patients. According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 10% of all cosmetic procedures performed in the United States in 2014 were on men—equivalent to more than 1 million cosmetic procedures. The number of cosmetic procedures performed on men increased by 273% from 1997 to 2014
What is the average treatment cost?
The cost will vary based on your individual treatment goals. Please schedule a consult to discuss your treatment goals.
Eyelid Surgery (Blepharoplasty)
Eyelid surgery, also known as Blepharoplasty is a procedure used to improve the appearance of your eyelids. As you age, your eyelids stretch, and the muscles supporting them weaken. Consequently, excess fat has a tendency to gather below and above your eyelids. The result can be bags under your eyes, sagging eyebrows and droopy upper lids.
Not only do you look older, but your side (peripheral) vision can be reduced, especially the upper and outer parts of your field of vision. Eyelid surgery can make your eyes appear younger, more alert, and increase your safety by correcting reduced vision.
Eyelid surgery is a quick, outpatient procedure. For more information, contact us to set up a consultation.
Chin Surgery (Genioplasty)
Chin surgery, also known as Genioplasty or chin re-positioning is a procedure done to correct chin misalignment, chin excess, or receding chins. Genioplasty can be effective for those with a small or receding chin and can alter the structure of the face, providing proportional balance to other facial features. In certain instances a chin that seems too small may possibly make the nose appear overly long.
Reshaping the chin can be accomplished either by using chin implants, or by re-positioning the bone supporting the chin. There are many types of implants available, manufactured from a variety of materials, including silicone or other substances. There is no available evidence to suspect that silicone implants cause any disease. Your surgeon will consult with you, and discuss recommendations for the type of implant to use.
During the procedure, an incision inside the lower lip or under the chin. The chin bone is re-positioned or an implant is placed through this incision. For more information, contact us to set up a consultation.
Ear Surgery (Otoplasty) Cosmetic Surgery
Ear surgery, also known as otoplasty, is a minimally invasive procedure that can improve the position, shape, or proportion of the ear. Many times Otoplasty is performed to correct a birth defect in the ear structure that becomes more apparent with development. Otoplasty can also treat misshapen ears caused by injury.
The results of ear surgery is that it creates a natural shape, while aligning balance and proportion to the ears and face. If you or your child have protruding or disfigured ears that bother you, you may want to consider ear surgery. The correction of minor deformities can have significant benefits to self-esteem and appearance.
Some of the conditions Otoplasty can treat include:
- Dissatisfaction with a previous ear surgery
- Overly large ears which is a condition called macrotia
- Protruding ears that occur on one or both sides

Lip Enhancement
As we age, our lips and other facial features can lose volume. Lip enhancement is a procedure that can give you fuller, plumper lips, reduce a long upper lip, decrease wrinkles around the mouth, or to improve the general appearance of your lips and smile. A long upper lip can impact your smile or general relaxed appearance by reducing the amount of teeth shown. Lip enhancement may be accomplished through nonsurgical or surgical procedures.
Lip enhancement is a quick, outpatient procedure and can be done alone or with other facial procedures, such as eyelid surgery.

Facial / Neck Liposuction
Over time our body ages and fat deposits will settle in our cheeks, chin, and neck. Facial liposuction is a common and popular procedure designed for the permanent removal of fatty tissue. This minimally invasive procedure allows the surgeon to remove undesirable, subcutaneous fat in isolated areas that do not respond to diet and exercise.
The best results from facial liposuction occur in patients who have fatty deposits but good skin tone. Please note this is not a treatment for obesity and if weight gain occurs after liposuction, fat will be deposited in areas that have not been treated. Facial liposuction can be repeated if necessary with a limit on how much can be done during a single procedure. There are multiple factors that can affect the results including genetic makeup, physical condition, exercise, diet, alcohol intake, smoking, and skin elasticity.
Facial liposuction is performed under general anesthesia and involves the surgeon making a small (less than 1/2 inch), discreet incision or incisions in the face or neck. A cannula is then inserted into the incision and attached to a suction machine. This process generally takes an hour or more and the results are permanent. However, if you were to gain a significant amount of weight, you might notice rippling in the treated areas.
After liposuction, the scar will begin to heal and go through a maturation process. During the first two to three months the scars may be red and possibly raised. During the next six to twelve months the scars will become pale, flat, and soft. It is possible that you will experience numbness, burning, and/or tingling around the incision sites, however these symptoms are almost always temporary. At your consultation, please let us know if you are prone to keloid scars. For more information, contact us to set up a consultation.
